Abeo is a homegrown Indian Fashion Brand, with Manufacturing workshop in Shyamnagar, West Bengal.
In 2021, we, Kasturika Ghosh and Krishnendu Ghosh (Siblings), launched Abeo as a pilot project on Instagram selling Fringe Earrings. That was just after COVID. We used to outsource the skills of making jewellery from Freelance Artists by giving them only designs. 

Soon, we realised the demand of handmade beaded jewellery, and then we slowly built our own workshop in our basement. We hired a few skilled Karigars for Hand Embroidery and Hand Block Printing which we launched in 2022. 
We were using Instagram as our online marketplace and attended pop-up exhibitions in and around Kolkata. 

In 2024, we launched our website www.abeoindia.com

Our collection features exquisite seed bead earrings, statement necklaces, and intricately designed rings—each piece meticulously crafted by skilled local artisans. A single pair of our signature evil eye earrings requires 2.5 hours of dedicated craftsmanship, embodying our commitment to quality over fast fashion.

Our handcrafted clothing line showcases the beauty of traditional hand block printing and hand embroidery techniques. From elegant kurtis and comfortable co-ord sets for women to stylish full-sleeve and half-sleeve shirts for men, each garment tells a story of Indian craftsmanship. With over 100 wooden blocks featuring diverse patterns and motifs, we create more than 500 unique designs that blend cultural heritage with contemporary style.

At Abeo, each piece is 100% handcrafted by skilled local artisans in our Shyamnagar workshop. Our seed bead jewelry takes hours to create—a single evil eye earring requires 2.5 hours of meticulous craftsmanship. Our garments feature traditional hand block printing using over 100 wooden blocks that create more than 500 unique designs. As a slow fashion brand, we prioritize quality, craftsmanship, and sustainability over mass production, ensuring each piece tells a story and stands the test of time.

We embrace slow fashion principles by creating durable, timeless pieces meant to be treasured, not discarded. Our micro-batch production minimizes waste, while our focus on traditional techniques like hand block printing and hand embroidery preserves cultural heritage while being environmentally friendlier than industrial processes. By providing fair employment to local Karigars and artisans at our West Bengal workshop, we’re creating a sustainable ecosystem that respects both people and planet.

Absolutely! Custom tailoring and personalization are core offerings at Abeo. For garments, we can customize everything from silhouettes (kurtis, dresses, shirts, co-ord sets) to specific block print patterns and embroidery details. For jewelry, we can create bespoke pieces based on your preferences. Simply reach out through our website or Instagram to start the conversation about your custom requirements.

For jewelry: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Clean gently with a soft cloth. Avoid exposure to perfumes, lotions, and water which can damage seed beads.
For garments: Hand wash in cold water with mild detergent. Air dry in shade to preserve the vibrancy of hand block prints and integrity of embroidery. Iron on low heat from the reverse side. These simple care practices honor the craftsmanship and extend the life of your Abeo pieces.

Abeo was founded in 2021 by siblings Kasturika and Krishnendu Ghosh as a post-COVID Instagram venture selling handcrafted fringe earrings.
